Recorded by Scott Colburn at Gravelvoice Studios (Death Cab for Cutie, Degenerate Art Ensemble, Mudhoney), Do This! is a bold and groundbreaking statement of acute originality that simultaneously propels the listener into realms of manic joy and subtle rumination. Produced by Reptet and featuring the posthumous cover art of legendary jazz illustrator Jim Flora – the first in over 45 years!

Listening to clips at CD Baby right now; very nice! Not near as "out" as I thought it might be. Very melodic in some spots! I think I may have to scrounge some pennies together for this!

Is the first record anything like this one? That 2-for-20 deal looks real nice!

Actually, he was --- but after he veered way off script during an afternoon studio shoot and started shouting:

"I shot the mother-f***** and I hope the mother-f***** dies," three witnesses say he bragged.

"I'm glad. If you let me go, I'll kill all of you cops," he screamed at a local hospital," they quickly gave him the boot and brought in a replacement.

The album really swing and grooves, but in a way quite different from yer typical post-bop outings."

I have this album, I like the sound and the more I play the Do This, the more I find in it. Funny thing is (no pun intended) the tracks with the Marx Brothers names are my favorites at the moment.
