robviti Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 right now, i have a small office that needs a new, inexpensive sound system (hopefully i'll be moving on in a few months to someplace bigger and better). i was wondering if anyone owns or has heard one of teac's ultra thin mini stereo systems. the current model is the MC-DX20B, which i found for under $120: and here's an earlier model, the CDX9. i can get a refurbished one for $90. i'm not looking for audiophile quality sound from such a small, inexpensive rig. on the other hand, i don't want something that sounds like crap. any thoughts? catesta Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 For $120 I'm thinking it would be worth it. Quote
alocispepraluger102 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 (edited) if you run across these, grab them. you might find some for about $50. dont think you can find better sound for this kind of money. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005S8K...glance&n=172282 Best Computer Speaker Set for under $40, November 3, 2004 Reviewer: Y. Cho "hodori" (MA USA) - See all my reviews I don't need all the surround speakers--too many wires!--so I have been looking a long time for a reasonably priced 2.1 setup. This is absolutely it. Paired with a Creative Blaster Live card, the bass is unbelievable, and overall sound reproduction is amazingly clean and detailed for the money. [Got my set for 29.99 plus tax at another site, sorry Amazon]. Just buy it. There'll be no regrets. Edited May 19, 2006 by alocispepraluger102 Quote
