What do folks think about this?  It's a nice summation of Zooid's work, though not necessarily their best.

Well - he did win the Pulitzer prize for it. I like it too.

Hosted by Nadia Sirota, I see!

I liked her this record:

Not at all "Baroque", at least not as you would think.

Also good to hear Henry playing. The guy's a treasure as player as well as composer.

I see it at bandcamp, but not on the Pi website or anyplace else.

Yeah it is kind of weird; usually Pi releases are on Amazon and their own website months before release.

Henry's previous album (Old Locks & Irregular Verbs) was also released early in some format.

Anyway, this is wonderful news.  Anybody have a tracklist?

Good news - apparently Pi has also recorded or will soon record Double Up Plus (dedicated to Ahmad Jamal, Barry Harris, Eddie Palmieri, Muhal Richard Abrams, Cecil Taylor and Joseph Kubera).  Not sure about release date.

so now Pi is releasing 2 albums by Henry in 2018!!!  Happy days :)

That is good news. 😀

When I feel a twinge of disappointment that Henry isn’t playing on this release I remind myself that a don’t feel any loss of the Duke isn’t at the piano on many an Ellington release. Same for Gerald Wilson plus countless other top flight composers/ arrangers.

Always excited by the prospect of new Threadgill music.  Scant details here but certainly the download looks imminent which will do me just fine

I've not seen anything from Pi Recordings yet

It’s Zooid!!! I was communicating with their Twitter account a few weeks ago and they mentioned October/November ad the release date but maybe it’s coming out early 🎉🎉🎉
