Neal Pomea Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 (edited) Does anyone here know how to create 30-40 second mp3s that fade out at the end? Preferably, is there a software I can use to edit 3 minute mp3s I already have and get them down to 30-40 seconds? I have a license from 2 of the top record companies producing Cajun music to post such clips for educational/promotional purposes at my Web site: http://npmusic.org I currently use MusicMatch Jukebox version 9. Thanks. Edited April 5, 2006 by It Should be You Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 If you're using a PC, try Goldwave. It's free. Quote
DukeCity Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Jim, (or anyone else) do you know of a similar piece of software for Mac? Quote
Mr. Gone Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 If you're using a PC, try Goldwave. It's free. As for encoding MP3s, try the open source lame encoder. lame GUI -> http://www.dors.de/razorlame/index.php (simply copy lame.exe to the razor lame folder) lame encoder -> http://sourceforge.net/projects/lame/ You can also use the lame enc in combination with Goldwave. Neal Pomea Posted April 5, 2006 Author Report Posted April 5, 2006 Thanks! I will try Goldwave. For the Mac user, somebody on another board recommended this: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Quote
