Jazz Kat
Wow, I just got this email from this musician: What's up, I'm holding a recording session in Brooklyn where I need an organ player. The recording session is on Saturday April 8th from 12pm-10pm in a Brooklyn recording studio where there a hammond b-3 organ there waiting to be played. If interested, let me know and I'll give you the further details. I think he's already got a bass player, so there's no problem. I can't wait. Jim Alfredson
Sounds like fun! You ever play the real thing before? Do you know what to do with the drawbars?
Jazz Kat
That's what I was going to ask. I need some 101 first. I don't call myself an organist, but i play keyboards and piano so, I guess I can do it.
Free For All
When's the session? April 8th? No problem, you should be totally on top of it by then!
Jazz Kat
, well there's already a bassist, so take away the pedals, and some background on how to get it up and running, I should be alright.

Robert J
I don't call myself an organist, but i play keyboards and piano so, I guess I can do it. From Wikipedia: Pianists and synthesizer players who begin playing the Hammond soon realize that authentic performance practice involves a lot more than playing the notes on the keyboard.
