Evonce
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I just saw from a release date site that there's a Weather Report box due mid-May. Anyone know anything about this? Size, content, etc? Thanks. BTW, the first two albums are overdue for the remastered treatment that some of the other titles got. In fact, the ideal WR box for me would be those two albums along with all the Live in Tokyo stuff.

Evonce
Would just like to see the earliest albums see the same remastered treatment as the mid-period titles. If Tale Spinnin' gets upgraded, then Body Electric should, too.

If Tale Spinnin' gets upgraded, then Body Electric should, too. Whoops. Should have been clearer. I'd like to hear a remastering of the debut and IStBE (my import version of Live in Tokyo sounds great); I just don't see the point of a box set. Evonce
Guy- Following on from your comment, I'm going to check out that Live in Tokyo import. Life's too short to wait for a domestic remaster. But Body Electric is one of my favorite albums ever and I'd just like to see it the same upgrade that a few other WR titles got recently. I still have the early-90s reissue, but you know....

PHILLYQ
I bought that about a year ago at Tower in NYC, so I guess it's available(AND IT"S GREAT).
GregK
I never understood why they left out the first two and Live in Tokyo (I also got mine at Tower, and it's good) when they upgraded the catlog. I rapidly lost interest after these three
Guy Berger
Sony/Legacy has more info on this box: Weather Report: Forecast Tomorrow to be released in September For the first time ever comes a multi-disc box set package containing three CDs and a bonus DVD that puts Weather Report’s past, present and future into sharp chronological perspective. Forecast: Tomorrow draws 37 tracks from the innovative and groundbreaking group’s 14 Columbia albums that were recorded and released between 1971 and 1985, including previously unreleased versions of two compositions, and adds a DVD of a never-before-seen live concert performance from Germany, 1978, running nearly two hours. The deluxe box set package – the first box set ever issued on Weather Report – will arrive in stores September 19th on Columbia/Legacy. Visit Weather Report to check out their discography. Forecast: not going to buy it.
bertrand
I only need the DVD - maybe it will be available separately as well (yeah right)? There were 15 albums (not counting Tokyo) - or are they leaving out This Is This, where Wayne plays on only 3 tracks? Bertrand.
Bluerein
The DVD is already available (in Japan only of course). Strange thing is it's made in Fermany but you can't buy it in Germany (or anywhere else) without paying the high Japanese import price. It's a bad quality recording (sound and video wise) so not worth the price imo.
