epistrophy007 Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Once I stumbled upon an album on some blog...will check the data (title, label, year, tracks)...it was great, and if I remember it well, it had Conte Candoli on it too =) Great pianist, and the two albums you included are among my all time favorites! j. king ubu Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) I enjoy those two albums a lot, too! He's got a website which includes a biography: http://www.amedeotommasi.com/en/biography.html And in the discography section, it mentions an Italian record from 1960, "Zamboni 22" (with Cicci Santucci, Enzo Scoppa, Giovanni Tommaso and Franco Mondini). This one was reissued by Rearward (and is listed on amazon.com, among others): Amazon Italy has some more recent discs on offer: http://www.amazon.it/s?_encoding=UTF8&search-alias=popular&field-artist=Amedeo%20Tommasi Youtube has some tracks as well (including ones from those disc on offer at Italian amazon): Edited February 22, 2012 by king ubu Quote

king ubu Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Don't know any of that stuff myself yet... but the CD from Rearward will slip into some online shopping cart some day! There's vinyl, too, for those who prefer (I actually do in some cases but never bought any from Rearward so far). epistrophy007 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Now I remember that he accompanies on Riccardo Mei's debut LP 'My Funny Valentine' from the late 80s. Never issued on cd. Worth checking out...Of course it's Mei's "shining hour', but great music, plenty of solo space for Tommasi, who gets into some nice piano/vocal duets too... Seems to a rare lp as I wasn't able to locate a decent cover for it (a selfportrait pianted by Mei) Mei recorded two cd's later on, one with Richie Cole and another one with Bill Watrous... j. Quote
