skeith
It was scheduled, like the Miles box for the 1st quarter of 2006. I see Miles has a new date, where's Sonny?
GA Russell
I've been wondering the same thing. When the time comes, I'm sure that they won't let it slip under the radar.
HolyStitt
I haven't heard about this before. Is this supposed to be everything or just the 1950's recordings? How many discs was it planned to be?
GA Russell
HolyStitt, I can't find the previous post on this (and I wrote it!). As I recall, it's going to be a 3 CD set of late 40s bebop. edit for typo Edited March 10, 2006 by GA Russell
HolyStitt
Thanks! I have the three Classics CD's, so I probably won't need the set. I was hoping that they were putting all of the 60's organ recordings together too.
Chuck Nessa
It would seem to be a coupling of the 3 OJC early '50s Stitt stuff. Worthwhile but a dubious commercial enterprise.
Chas
Worthwhile but a dubious commercial enterprise. Surely to avoid irony this needs to be followed by a smiley of some sort ? Perhaps one of these : Ars gratia artis.....

GA Russell
I emailed Concord/Fantasy today regarding this, and received this reply: "The Stitt box is kind of in limbo at the moment. It's been moved around a lot, but I don't have a firm date for it now, unfortunately. Will report on any news from that front when available."
