There's a huge borders with a very large CD section at Broad and Market!!!  You can't miss it!

I've seen that one, I'm just out in the burbs a bit and there aren't many in the immediate area. I can't see driving into the city to get 30% off on a cd.

Back in the michigan burbs there were huge borders every twenty feet or so. It spoiled me.

How is 15% nickel and diming? its sure better than 0%.

Oh, what the heck -- I'll probably break down and get the new Monk and Trane thing too this weekend.  After all, all the cool kids've got one, and I don't want to be left out of the fun!!

All the cool kids? But wait...

Now Tommy, just because Jimmy and Chucky and Pauly have jumped off the cliff, do you jump off the cliff too?

(My second-grade teacher was fond of saying this.)

I'm with vibes on this - If I'm gonna use these coupons, I have to find something or a place

better than what I've already seen. The boxsets are locked up behind a window -

can't touch them - can't see the prices on many of them...sheesh...

It's funny that the 30% coupon says "void if copied"

The 25% one adds "Any other use constitutes fraud" if you go beyond one per day.

What? Will you get stopped by the "Border(s) Patrol"?  :o

The Border(s) Patrol attempted to stop me once upon a time. link

Looks like this may be 20% off on your entire purchase. Go to www.dealcoupon.com and scroll down under the header "Newest Coupons" to the Border's entry.

Here's a general question about coupons. If you were the marketing guy at a place like Border's, why would you put out a coupon that ends on November 14th, the day before most people get paid? Why not start it on the 15th or the 30th when your customers have the most disposable income.

Up over and out.

On the other hand, since the coupons are pretty much perpetual - one after another - I'm not sure how much it matters. As a general practice, Borders ends its coupons on Mondays (...if memory serves). Sometimes this will coincide with paydays; sometimes not. Coupons tend to be valid over weekends/holidays. There are still a lot of people who get paid on Fridays (including Fridays before paydays on the 15th or 30th/31st when the normal payday falls on a weekend.)

I got a nice surprise from Border's last week via my Borders Rewards membership. Looks like I have $35 in play money to spend by mid-January. Not sure how though, as I don't buy much music their normally... might be from my wife's purchases on educator days. It's good for any merchandise and doesn't exclude coupons, so I should be able to stretch it out across at least three CD's or a lower end box set.

I still prefer the Barnes & Noble rewards program even with the $25 annual fee (Borders is free) since I know I can more than recover the cost of the membership and I save all the time, not just coupon days, member shopping days, or even now with the free money.
