Guys, I just finished listening to the Root Doctor cd and have to say I was really impressed! These guys have really got it down but good. They handle the blues, alittle r & b and some soul quite well. They have a real tight sounding band. Freddie Cunningham handles most of the vocal chores and he's got a real fine voice. Our own Greg Nagy handles the guitar duties and does an outstanding job. The standout track for me is 'Too Late To Try To Do Right' features some outstanding guitar work. I have to say it gave me goosebumps to be quite frank. He takes lead vocal duty on 'Mississippi Blues' playing acoustic. I'd like to hear more of that in the future. Jim Alfredson plays Hammond organ and contributes some real tasty grooves. He also takes lead vocal duties on the title track 'Been A Long Time Coming'. James Williams on bass and Matt Hayes drums, do a fine job keeping the unit intact. Some of the tracks also feature some nice horn arrangements provided by Jim. Let me say in conclusion the Root Doctor cd is well worth purchasing. I purchased my copy from CD Baby. If you have any doubts, please go to the CD Baby website and sample some of the tracks yourself. I think you're really going to be quite happy with this one. Greg and Jim no doubt deserve your support on this one. :tup
