I don't get it... I have been told that original issues of Dizzy Reece's "Blues In Trinity" are extremely rare. A mono copy? Man, that's gotta be rarer than rare. If you ask me, a collector is probably very happy to get this for under $500.

Sam Rivers Mosaic

blah, blah, blah, blah, ... "the music here should be considered a cornerstone of any self-respecting avant-garde collection. [This set is out of print, a real shame since it is the only form in which any of Rivers' Blue Note recordings are available.]"

I guess the seller hasn't looked at the BN site for a while.

A Yankee Punter Takes A Holiday

The thought of flying to Britain and proceeding to a dingy storage unit to peer at more than 6,000 VG-to-VG+ 12-inch singles, LPs, and 45s...I can hear it now:

"Oi, I thought YOU were bringing the flashlight, mate."

"Well, fortunately the thatched roof is giving us some light."

I'll bet... ;)

Looks like a brown envelope full of Saskatchewan prairie air, if you ask me. Fools and their money are easily parted.
