I wasn't aware that there was overexposure of her. When you don't pay attention to regular TV or mainstream movies, then you aren't exposed to the overexposure!

I could give a shit.

I do have a question though.

"I will give her credit for the charity work she does but I have to wonder how much of this is for image.

Does she do anything without a holding a press conference or have film crew present?"

Does it matter what someone's reasons or motives are? Anytime charity work is being done, it is positive momentum.

Word is right. As some of you may know, I work in the moving pitcher business and am surrounded by this sort of shit every day. And yet I'm rarely exposed to the sort of tabloid-driven celebrity gossip shit that you "civilians" ( :P ) always complain about. If you don't want to hear about Angelina, Brad, Beniffer, or whomever, don't read the tabloids and stay away from shows like Entertainment Tonight. Yeah, I know, some of the bigger celebs spill over into the mainstream press, but what can i say? They sell papers. Just ignore them.

Kinda hard to do when every grocery store aisle is packed with rags like Us, People, In Star, and other crap like that! KnowhatImean?

Having said that, I'll also admit that she is hot. "Taking Lives" anyone? :excited:

I haven't been to a movie in I don't know how long.

All you have to do is turn your computer on, listen to the radio, buy groceries, watch TV, regualr and irregular. ;)

BTW, what exactly is regular TV?

Yes, charity is positive that is why I mentioned it.

And yes she does deserve credit for doing it, but does it always have to be a major press release?

Maybe Lon is right and she is not asking for the attention, I kind of think she is addicted to it though.

indeed. Gia was the only movie she starred in i would recommand. the rest is crap, beside the fact that she actually is very attractive and its always nice to look at her :)

Don't be silly. I don't think I've ever seen one of her movies.

Neither have I, actually. I checked her filmography just to be sure that I didn't see her in something before she was famous, but I really haven't. No desire to do so, either...

Angelina's not all bad!

From AFP:

  Quote

JOLIE ASHAMED AT U.S.

Hollywood actor and child-rights campaigner Angelina Jolie says she's ashamed the United States has still not signed a United Nations charter on protecting children's rights.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Jolie - a UN goodwill ambassador - said a lot of things about her country had shocked her over the past few years.

"I am absolutely ashamed [Washington has not formally ratified the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child]," she said.

"Being an American I think it's horrible. I think Congress should ratify that. If we really care about that how dare we not ratify it?"

The United States signed the convention in 1995, but apart from Somalia is the only country not yet to have ratified the treaty.

Jolie, 30, has worked as a goodwill ambassador for the UN refugee agency UNHCR for four years, travelling to 20 countries over that time including Cambodia, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

She has adopted two children, Maddox, from Cambodia, and Zahara from Ethiopia.

That's all right by me!
