EKE BBB Posted January 17, 2008 Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 51 new "leader" entries have been listed. This makes 225 total. The new Leader Discographies include names, from the better-known like Kenny Dorham, Hal McKusick, Cecil Payne, and Charles Tolliver to the unknown like Peter Lemer, David Mack, Ramon Morris, and Ollie Shearer. And many young players such as Byars, Eubanks, Frahm, and Willey. As expected, quite a few corrections to the standard discographies - missing sessions, missing tunes, wrong titles, wrong issues, etc. Quote

As of this morning, the question of the lost Atlantic Hasaan Ibn Ali quartet sessions, with Odean Pope, Art Davis, and Kalil Madi, has been resolved in the best possible way. Omnivore has announced that it will be releasing these sessions, recorded on August 23rd and September 7th of 1965. The release date will be March 5, 2021.
