Man with the Golden Arm
is it possible to hear all the samples from a cd using I-Tunes? i click to hear all the samples and it plays one tune and then plays songs from my I-Tunes library that thing don't work for me. you gotta click em all, one right after the other (no need to let them load all the way before hitting the next one ), shifitng screens back and forth and then hit the first one in the continuous playback list on iTunes. it then plays the thirty second spots in album order. BFrank
Wow, Jazz Hour and Jazz Band. Good news! Thanks for the heads up SS. What's the deal with those Jazz Band recordings? Are they all radio transcriptions? What's the source? I briefly listened to clips of a Buddy Rich set supposedly recorded in the 80's, but sounded more like the 40's or 50's. mjzee
They've added a Coleman Hawkins title, "High School Hawk." I think this was mentioned recently in a thread as an amazing performance with a pick-up band, but I can't find the thread: http://www.emusic.com/album/11028/11028594.html

RDK
A couple of David Murray Black Saint albums just showed up (though only one track each for some reason). This would be a major addition to emusic if they landed Black Sainst/Soul Note!
jazzbo
I downloaded all the Camel Caravan BG shows, and the Pee Wee Russell with Alex Walsh. They've added Rickie Lee Jones' "The Sermon on Exposition Boulevard." I really like this one. . . I have the limited edition SACD/DVD edition. Indestructible!
Man, what is going on at eMusic these days? A lot more "grey area/bootleg" titles appearing... case in point: All Blue Note releases. WTF? Cheers, Shane

edski
I recently re-joined emusic. So far, I have downloaded: - Last Exit: Koln - Last Exit: Cassette Recordings 87 - Heartless Bastards: All This Time - Art Farmer: Blame It On My Youth Great stuff! Recommendation for the Art Farmer album came from another thread - thanks! Anyone have suggestions for the Charlie Parker albums? I have the Complete Dial and Savoy box, but want to delve a little deeper...
randyhersom
There are now 17 full David Murray Black Saint albums up. I hope the rest of Black Saint will follow. I'm grabbing The Hill for sure today. There is nothing deeper than The Complete Dial and Savoy Recordings of Charlie Parker ; ). Verve is usually the next step, but emusic only has the With Strings via Definitive. The Quintet on Fantasy/Prestige is the only other one that I can vouch for the quality of. As with Jimi Hendrix, many lesser labels have scraped the bottom of the barrel in terms of recording quality.

True dat, but it always pissed me off that most of the Tzadik albums were missing a track or two.
