RDK Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Not Youtube, but this is great: Charlie Parker, Coleman Hawkins, Ella, etc. in 1950. Not sure if this was posted before so didn't want to give it it's own thread, but it deserves it! http://www.dailymotion.com/alternativa/video/53031 Quote
Jim R Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Looks like Ray was having similar problems to what I encountered here yesterday. Couldn't post at times, couldn't refresh pages, couldn't even access the board for much of the day. So... there's YouTube, there's Dailymotion, there's Google Video... anybody found any other similar sites? There's one called ZippyVideos, but I'm not sure how good it is... plus I haven't figured out how to use it yet. Quote
RDK Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 I assume that there were a few duplicate posts that have since been cleaned up? Funny, but I didn't think the post "took" at all since the page kept freezing and my post never showed up (to me at least). Quote

The Stevie Wonder Superstition video is nasty, even if iit cuts off before the end. Is that Steve Cropper in the band? Quote

Big Al Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Man, there's some crazy stuff on there. Anyone know how to save the movies? I've been reading a bit about it... seems like they are .flv files. Anyway, here's some hilarious Genesis stuff for you prog heads: Genesis - The Musical Box Genesis - Return of the Giant Hogweed This Peter Gabriel stuff is hilariously mesmerizing! Don't forget: Watcher of the Skies All twenty-seven minutes (and INTRO) of Supper's Ready and my favorite, one I must've played/listened to at work about twenty-zillion times at work today, I Know What I Like Also, heap big thanks to Matthew for the Bill Evans links. Seeing my favorite Evans song, "Elsa," performed by the man himself is literally a dream come true! Quote

Noj Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Yeah, I'm not sure why youtube "flagged" this one--it's just a highlight of an Earl Campbell run. Quote
