The part starting around 6:35 just kills me. Everything was cooking along nicely but without anything getting too serious, and then the groove just gets an extra shot of intensity right there.

:wub: Oh, just because I've been watching Eleanor Powell clips off YouTube all afternoon, and she is so beautiful, graceful, wonderful, and with Fred Astaire, they were equals. :wub:

She was indeed beautiful, graceful and wonderful but Fred Astaire's equal? Hmmm... she's good, but I don't think I'd take it that far.

That's Sue Evans on drums. Don't think she were related to Gil Evans!

Adams was the best thing to come out of Covington, Georgia. The tune is Billy Harper's "Thoroughbred." Thanks for the link.

I'm obsessed with Roman Holiday's Cookin' On The Roof album.

Speaking of Roman Holiday, I always think of this band too, part of that whole Sailor/Dockside band thing England had going on at the time.
