Larry Kart
And a good one before I retire for the night: Peggy Lee - Baubles, Bangles & Beads She had better time than a whole lot of jazz instrumentalists. Sounds like it might be Stan Levey on drums. Met Lee backstage once, after a top-notch performance in the early 1980s. Seemed like the closer you got to her, the more indistinct her features became. With Ian Carr (tpt), Art Themen and Jim Philips (sax/clt). This is the music that was issued on a rare Garrick LP (Airborne). Soul Stream
I cannot believe no one has taken my recommendation to check out Hans Groiner It is a joke--by a famous jazz pianist... I thought people here would dig it... Larry Goldings in a blond wig...very nice! I love when he picks the leaf off the tree and puts it in his pocket. Also, love his myspace page. The New Age-ing of Monk is something that must be done!
