Mosaic updated their website. The MD Blackhawk is now up for pre-order, mid-august is given as release date.

Got my pre-order in. If the sound quality is anything like the Plugged Nickel set, it will be wonderful.

Would you believe it - just as this is anounced I stumble across a pristine mint 6-eye copy of the original Columbia C2S820 double album in the 2nd hand vinyl racks....

Won't stop me buying the Mosaic though.

I have a vinyl version of this, but after hearing the new re-master with all the solos intact, I will probably never listen to the LPs again.

Got my pre-order in too. don't think that we'll be seeing many new Mosaics on vinyl in the near futrue. Maybe if this sells okay it may show them that there is still some kind of market for vinyl sets.

I found it interesting that they're only printing 3,500 copies of the "Blackhawk" set. All the other Miles are 5,000.

I'm also pre-ordering! As for the original-I just sold a still-sealed 6-eye of "Friday Night" and won't miss it a bit! Way too much editing & not very good sound quality either-it's gonna be great to finally have this material on primo vinyl!

Can't complain at the sound quality of the 6-eye Columbia double. It's pretty good to my ears. The Mosaic will be nice to get for the extra material though.
