Later on some Black Lions were released under 1201 Music. Yes, I also have a lot of it. They were great in recording "Americans in Europe". Quote
mjzee Posted March 7, 2021 Report Posted March 7, 2021 I noticed this on Dex's Wikipedia page: "While in Copenhagen, Gordon and Drew's trio appeared onscreen in Ole Ege's theatrically released hardcore pornographic film Pornografi (1971), for which they composed and performed the score." Was this ever released on CD or LP? Quote
mikeweil Posted March 7, 2021 Report Posted March 7, 2021 Nothing in the Lord Disco that qualifies for this purpose. Quote
Dub Modal Posted March 9, 2021 Report Posted March 9, 2021 Played this LP last night. Very good IMO, both in terms of playing and SQ. 20 minutes of Cheese Cake as well. Quote
JSngry Posted March 9, 2021 Report Posted March 9, 2021 On 8/23/2003 at 6:02 AM, John Delaney said: "In 1972, Dexter Gordon recorded the music for a Danish pornographic film. Personnel was Gordon (tnr), Kenny Drew (pno), Niels Henning Orsted Pedesen (B) and Jual Curtis (d). Titles: Tivoli, The Group, Girl With The Purple Eyes and Onrop. Some of the music was recorded at Jazzhus Montmartre, where the quartet is also seen performing". There was a TV programme on BBC two years or so ago about the film's director (name escapes me at the moment) who made a variety of mainly art films. Dex was heard but not identified in the TV programme. Sorry. Aric, no sexual activity was shown. The BBC is not up to such things (well, not usually). John Delaney On 8/23/2003 at 6:31 AM, JohnS said: John, I'm not sure we are talking about the same programme, but I remember the camera swinging round to show Dexter, presumably he was on the set, if that's the right word for a porno studio. From the vaults.... Quote

JSngry Posted March 9, 2021 Report Posted March 9, 2021 I knew the subject had come up here at least once before, but was surprised that it was 17+ years ago! My goodness, to think that a youngster could have been born on the day of that post and now be standing on the cusp of being able to legally view their first onrop. Where does the time go? Quote
