rostasi Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Well, that didn't work. Anyone know how to download these onto a Mac? Or are these strictly for web-listening?Click on the title while holding down your "control" button and you should have 5 options pop up. One of them is "Download Linked File." Highlight that and it should download immediately. Quote
Noj Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Thanks Rod, I'll give it a whirl when I get home. If I can't make it happen, SS1 has offered to send me a cdr. Thanks again Jim, Joe, and Randy for the tunes! Quote
Stefan Wood Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 You can also hold the option button as you click on the link. It should download the tune..... Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted December 10, 2005 Author Report Posted December 10, 2005 (edited) Updated tray card with song titles, times, and recording info for those who want it (and like the order Big Al came up with). This is what I'm sending to stations. Edited December 10, 2005 by Jim Alfredson Quote

A Lark Ascending Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 Lovely music. Many thanks. Quote
mikeweil Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 (edited) Listening to this as Mr. Bassman brought it to the rehearsal earlier today. Curiously, I like the sound better than on the latest CD, althought these are MP3S - did you use compression, limiters etc. on This is the place? The drums especially are much more to my liking on your home recording, Jim - they must sound fuckin' incredible in high resolution. Edited December 13, 2005 by mikeweil Quote
ghost of miles Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Just finished taping the 12/24 Night Lights, which will air for an hour starting around 11:05 or11:10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Here's the last set, which should come on around midnight: Organissimo, "A Child Is Born" Frank Sinatra, "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" Dexter Gordon, "The Christmas Song" Happy holidays! Quote
Rosco Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Getting ready for dinner while having my first listen to the organissimo Christmas CD. Big This may be the first version of 'Little Drummer Boy' I've ever actually liked. That groove kills. Quote

Big This may be the first version of 'Little Drummer Boy' I've ever actually liked. That groove kills. That was my idea .. We were kickin' around some ideas for Xmas tunes in the basement studio and Jim wanted to do an uptempo swing version of Drummer Boy and after playing it a couple of times that way I poo pooed it and said, " Nahhh, that's too cliched, ,, Hey, how about this?" Quite fibbin' Randy! It was Zora's idea. The funky pitter patter of her feet as she b-lined about the house gave you the pattern idea. But seriously, you did lay it down there brother. Very nicely done! g Quote
Alexander Hawkins Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Joe's guitar is also SWEEEEEEEEEEEET on that track. Really nice voicing. Quote
Alexander Hawkins Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Of course, when I say 'nice', I mean 'nasty'. Quote

Big Al Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Alright, I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but since I'm being inundated with holiday music & commercials everywhere I turn, may as well add some spice to it. Also wanted to bump this up for members who've come on board since last Christmas. Listening to it right now! Quote
Peter Johnson Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Any plans for more Christmas cuts for 2006, fellas? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 13, 2006 Author Report Posted November 13, 2006 Any plans for more Christmas cuts for 2006, fellas? Not at the moment. Although we'd like to, there's a lot of stuff going on outside the band that might interfere right now. Quote
