couw Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 How do I put something in italics or bold? There used to be a function that said "close all tags" when you were done. I don't see it anymore. close all tags is hidden under the red-cross icon in the upper right hand corner of the field Quote
catesta Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 Now how could I have missed that? Thanks. Quote
medjuck Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 I 've just tried to edit a topic header and it didn't seem to take. Quote
Guest Chaney Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 We seem to missing the feature which allows you to visit a member's profile page and view all of that member's posts. there is a drop down menu in the upper right hand corner of the member profile page [Profile Options]. You find all you desire there. Thanks! Quote
Daniel A Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 As nobody commented on my previous post here, I take it that I'm the only one experiencing this problem: Every time I'm trying to use any of the text format buttons when writing a post, the code (like ) is always placed at the end of the text - I take it Opera users experienced something similar. But in addition to that, all of the text is selected - as if I had went over it with the left mouse button down - so that if I'm continuing to write without clicking at the end of the text (and thus un-selecting the whole lot), everything I've written up to that point is whiped out as I press the next key. (I'm using Internet Explorer 6.something) Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 27, 2005 Author Report Posted November 27, 2005 Daniel, is this a new problem that has arisen since the upgrade? Have you checked your My Controls --> Board Settings ---> Type of text editor choices? You can choose between Standard Text Editor or Rich Text Editor. See if one of those works better than the other. I'm using the Rich Text Editor right now with Firefox and/or Explorer and Windows XP Pro and it seems to be working fine. Quote
Daniel A Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Yes, the problem occured after the upgrade. However, since following your recommendadion and switching to the Rich Text Editor everything is working like a dream! Thanks! Quote
Noj Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Since the upgrade, the board has intermittently forced Safari to quit on my Mac. It's happened twice tonight. Anyone else having this problem? Quote

Noj Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 I take it you're a PC guy, Chuck. I use both. Quote

Д.Д. Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Seems like Rich text editor is not working anymore. It used to, and was a fine thing (except for some annoying double spacing after quotes), but now I can only use the Standard editor, which I find quite cumbersome (e.g. it does not alllow for double formatting of selected text - like bolding and coloring text with just selecting text segment and clicking B and A - now you have to select the text, click B, then select the same text again and click A to choose the color). Quincy Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Since the upgrade, the board has intermittently forced Safari to quit on my Mac. It's happened twice tonight. Anyone else having this problem? Yup, it's been happening to me too. At least once a day, sometimes twice. I wasn't sure if it was just a coincidence that it was happening when reading this forum but I don't so. My current solution is to use Camino for reading organissimo and use Safari for everything else. I'm bi-OS as well. Quote

That's wacky. It's working fine for me. What kind of computer are you using? Quote
7/4 Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 I take it you're a PC guy, Chuck. I use both. One next to each other? Kinda like Keith Emerson? Huh? Huh? Stab the keyboard with a blade? Huh? Huh? Quote
Noj Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Home - Mac. Work - PC. I've found my keyboards are a bit unreceptive to stab wounds. Quote
7/4 Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Home - Mac. Work - PC. Ah...too far to play both at once. Quote
DukeCity Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Totally weird... I've had no problem reading the organissimo board on my Mac (G4 1GHz Powerbook) running Safari. Then just a couple of minutes ago I read this very thread about the sudden quitting...and a minute later Safari quit on me! Maybe I shouldhave forwarded that spammy email to 10 people in order to avoid bad luck. Quote
