catesta Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 BTW, we did hit 60 today! Jim, do ya think any of those guests were from...uh...,gulp.....,Blue Note? Quote
Guest Chaney Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 While this is certainly your thread to delete, I'd vote (were there a vote) to keep it as it only adds to the outward passion of this site. We feel, goddammit! This thread is just another bit of spice added to this wonderful stew - tofu in place of meat, of course . Quote
Joe Christmas Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 This thread has nothing to be ashamed of. It is what it is. A short-sighted knee-jerk reaction to, well, nothing. So what? What, if any, integrity will deleting it safeguard? waxing philosophical, Christmas Quote
Guest Chaney Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 Deriding our short-sighted knee-jerk reactions? I vote we ban Joe Christmas. (True, I haven't given this much thought but...) Quote
catesta Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 (edited) What's Alexander always saying about abolishing private property? Doesn't this thread now belong to the board general population? As self appointed Organissimo BB "consiglieri" (or consigliare for some of you ), I think the thread should stay. Just pulling your leg JS, do what you want. Now, about this new topic of banning folks. Edited July 15, 2003 by catesta Quote
Swinging Swede Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 I don't think this thread should be deleted either. This board is virtually a BNBB in exile (albeit with superior software), so the indignation over Blue Note's decision to link to two other boards but not this one is justified, IMO. Deleting it would be history revisionism! Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 I wouldn't delete this thread either, but changing the topic 'title' and 'subtitle' (much like Jim changed his own first post) I think would make sense. Just my own opinion. Quote

B3 - what about sticking a link to this excellent site on your links page - www.bagatellen.com - and asking Joe Christmas/Al Jones to reciprocate? Edited July 15, 2003 by David Williams Quote

Just my own opinion. No way! I think it should be known by one and all that these here "pig-dog" things Jim is talking about can get jobs and my wife can't. Maybe it'll light a fire under her ass if I tell her that even "pig-dogs" are finding gainful employment. More than likely it'll just get me banished to the couch, but what the hell. By the way, I've searched and searched but have had no luck; anyone found a picture of a pig-dog yet? Quote
catesta Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 (edited) Here is a pig and a dog. This may be as close as you are going to get to an actual pig-dog. Edited July 15, 2003 by catesta Quote

catesta Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 Not me, and I have to say I was very, very polite. B) Quote
Guest Chaney Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Several weeks back, I sent an e-mail to BN asking when their BBS would reopen. A mere three weeks (or so) later, I received a response. (I believe I was told "shortly". HA!) Unfortunately, I think you folks can expect that same type of care and consideration from our past landlord. (I hope I'm wrong.) I beleve EXTREME patience is called for. Quote

Let the BN biatches see it in full force, our 'newbie' board is kickin ass!! Quote
BruceH Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 The Hell with Blue Note. Who needs'em? (Except to re-issue albums, that is.) Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 I just changed the title and sub-title per the JSngry's request (although I changed your original re-write, Jim... hope you don't mind!) For what it's worth, I think this is funny! Quote
