I just read that Columbia/Legacy will be issuing a 5 CD box set in September called "For All Time" which will consist of the five Brubeck "Time" LPS:

Time Out -no additional tracks

Time Further Out

Time Changes - first time on CD

Countdown-Time In Outter Space- first time on CD

Time In- first US CD release

Does anyone know if these will be available individually or must we have to buy the 5CD set just to obtain the Countdown and Time Changes material previously unavailable on CD?

Alternatively, it might be like the Mingus box where all three CDs (to the best of my knowledge) were available singly, although the Alt Takes disc may have come out after a bit, and with a limited life.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I'll just have to wait 'til springtime.

IMHO, Dave Brubeck is one of the most creative musicians in jazz history, regardless of how one feels about his pianio playing.

I've had a promo box of this set for a few months now. It looks to be just the five albums gathered together under one roof. The last three albums are new to CD, with only a couple of bonus tracks added. "Time Out" uses the same HDCD master as the single disc version. It sounds great! I would expect Sony to release the "new" discs individually at some point, but don't know for sure when. Yes, this set has been delayed - my box has printing on it saying that it's to be released in October, 2003. ;)
