BeBop Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 The Django Reinhardt CD Mosaic is the first one I've bought that doesn't have a hinged cover. Yet the later-issued (?) Byrd-Adams set does have a hinge. Obviously, I'm quite upset and would very much like an explanation. Quote

I actually prefer the sets without the hinge. Why your Byrd set would have a hinge, as opposed to mine not having a hinge, is beyond me. Edited July 13, 2003 by vibes Quote

What are the chances that Mosaic might be able to help me out on this one? Would they have any leftovers gathering dust somewhere? I thought a while back Mosaic announced that they were switching over to unhinged boxes for all future releases? Maybe they started ordering all new materials "unhinged"? It does sound weird that they would switch mid-stream. BTW, I would prefer unhinged. I have had hinges pull away from the box in the past. I'll have to check my Byrd/Adams set to see which variety I got. Sounds like a hinged set should command about a 10% premium. Later, Kevin Quote
