Daniel A Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 (edited) I heard someone talk about Stan Tracey's "Genesis" the other day, but my attempts to find more about it on the Web has not come up with much. How's it like? Is it available on CD? A post at AAJ indicates that, but I haven't found a source online. Tthere seems to be an LP copy available at a shop I know, allthough I don't know the price. I now put my trust in the British members of the Forums... Edited October 31, 2005 by Daniel A Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Take a look here: http://home.freeuk.net/cleyndert/homepage.html Very enjoyable album. I prefer my Tracey in small groups rather than big band but this one is great fun. Quote
Daniel A Posted October 31, 2005 Author Report Posted October 31, 2005 Thanks, Bev, wasn't aware of Trio Records! Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Trio Records is run by Andy Cleyndert, Stan's current bassist (amongst many other things). Quote
Alexander Hawkins Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 And a VERY fine bassist he is too IMHO! Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 And a VERY fine bassist he is too IMHO! ← Quite agree. He played the Appleby festival back in July and turned up in no end of different bands. I never understand how rhythm section players can be so adaptable. Quote
