rostasi
OK, so I'm at the grocery store and I have to pick up some shaving cream. I reach for a can of Barbasol and there's the phrase "REAL MAN" in large letters across the front of it. So, I'm thinkin' what's up with this? I turn the can around and it has some guy - Gary Hill or Hall or something like that - on the back of it in this kind of shirtless "pinup" style. OK, I know that the ladies have to shave their legs and stuff too, but whassup with this!. Is this really a new sales tactic now? Since I wasn't too interested in having Gary join me in the shower, I chose the Colgate can right next to it...

GA Russell
When I was a boy, Barbasol's advertising pitch was that it was for men with heavy beards. I guess they are returning to that.
Jazzmoose
I thought Barbasol was the one with the "Our men are real men, and our sheep are very nervous" slogan...

Guest Chaney
February 3, 2005 Barbasol’s first Collector can “Real Man” Series will be released in Spring, 2005 featuring Gary Hall, Jr., five time Gold Medalist. Gary has battled diabetes everyday since 1999 and works directly to help kids beat diabetes. A portion of the price of Barbasol cans with Gary’s likeness will be donated to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation www.jdrf.org TV Spot I'm guessing it takes nearly a full can of Barbasol to shave that chin. rostasi
OK. That's cool. I guess that info's on the can, but I never got around to actually reading it! I noticed (in the ad spot) that there's another pic of him that's in swim gear that's not so "hunk-of-the-month." Larry Tate would've fired me if I had come up with that sales picture idea.
