Brad
I just downloaded a new version of iTunes and now it won't import a disc. What happens it imports a disc in all of five seconds and then you can't play it or burn it to a new cd. It performs the import action but it doesn't really. Any suggestions? Any suggestions? ← Hmm, I've never had one import that quickly - when you check your library, do the imported tracks show time listings? Reason I ask is that for some stupid reason, iTunes sometimes only imports *6 seconds* of the first track. Wonder if you are experiencing something similar, albeit on a larger scale. What I do is immediately try to re-import the first track and it always comes through at the correct timing. No doubt, iTunes is quirky ... Brad
Eric, it shows the times and then when you click on the cd to play it scrolls through all the songs like it's on acid or something. I've sent an email to Apple to see if they can help.
rostasi
I just imported some Anatoly Vapirov and it worked fine. I'll try some more titles and see what happens... I'm guessing that you did this already, but did you reboot after you installed Version 6? I'd check the forums over at Apple just to see if others are having this problem. Christiern
Go to the "Genius Bar" thread at www.applenova.com and click on Forums (on the upper left side). Someone will have an answer--or it may already be there.
Stefan Wood
Always reboot after installing. And just as important, you need to run Disc Utility to Verify Permissions. Preventive maintenance.
Brad
It seems that with the new version to import you need to do it in the DVD drive not the normal playback drive. I discovered it by accident this morning and I think that did the trick. So hopefully, that's the end of the issue.
