Guest akanalog
any help appreciated... my friend gave me his iPod to put some music on. i used the stupid itunes music store for the first time and it tells me i cant put the music on his iPod because his iPod is running too old software or the OS or whatever. (he doesnt have a computer but gives me his iPod to update like every six months so his hasnt been updated in a long time) so i downloaded the newest updater (this is mac by the way) and it says his iPod OS is too old to install the updater. so i had to resort to limewire to find the second to last updater but that is too new also since i got the same message. i am going around in circles on the stupid mac site trying to find an even older update (from march or something). anyone have any ideas where to find old ipod updaters? versiontracker just redirects to the stupid unhelpful mac site. thank you for any help. vanbeat
Is it the iPod or iTunes that needs an update? Here's the latest... iTunes 5.0.1: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/itunes501.html Here's all of the updates: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/
Stefan Wood
Both -- but really, the Itunes update should suffice.
