connoisseur series500 Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Interesting comment about Burmese pythons thriving in Florida. Just what we need... Quote
7/4 Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Now I know what happened. When I saw this on the news, they couldn't even explain what happened. Quote
J Larsen Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 I've seen footage of an anaconda eating a crocodile, but they are a bit bigger. Quote
JSngry Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Hmmmm....Wonder if there's a way to put this to good use for humanity... Isn't primary season just around the corner? Quote

I don't know ... exploding Louis Vitton satchels at airports won't fly. ... but that python might be responsible for all them shaving signs down there. Quote

Robert J Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Is this the first case of Florida's new "stand your ground" law? Quote

Son-of-a-Weizen Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 (edited) Sure, happens all the time with snakes and other exotic 'pets.' Matter of fact, I think someone recently released a small croc or two in -- or around -- Lake Folsom in Northern CA. At least that's what the relatives tell me. J Larsen Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Someone released a caiman (essentially a small crocodile) into the Harlem meer a few years back. And then there was the guy with the tiger in his apartment uptown last year. Actually, I know a guy who had a "pet" cheetah on the upper west side - not by choice, but as the result of an army prank. I met him after the cheetah had passed on, but evidently it was a great pet (not that I advocate keeping wild animals). Quote
