Is anybody familiar with this band, I see Dunmall played with them in the 80s, contributed original material. Dunmall is terrific, though he raves endlessly about Coltrane, I think his awesome command also reminds me of Jimmy Lyons. Thanks, Dan

Yes, I remember seeing them live circa 1986 as a quartet with Paul Dunmall heavily featured on tenor. Very much a vehicle for pianist and leader Tim Richards, in a Coltranish post-bop vein. Here's a cover of a 1982 Spotlite LP:

I recall seeing them too. Very, very different from how he plays now.

Dunmall also played in Danny Thompson's folk-inflected band, Whatever, around that time.
