japanese jazz critique books-organ jazz

Any of you more 'greasy ' dudes picked up this jazz critique book on jazz organ ....I have a few of them and yes they are mostly in japanese but I have the blue note, prestige,riverside and groove funk and soul ones but not seen this for sale before and wondered if anyone else has a copy yet?

and who on here can do decent japanese for me to order it from the site?

Andy, the order page says that shipping is free except for overseas orders. Unfortunately it appears you must contact the company directly to place an order.

Another idea is that you could try ordering from amazon.co.jp if they have the book in stock.

May be difficult to order, the English section of the site seems only functional for non-Japanese items.

Correction: look to the right, there is a choice to display in English. It should help you go through the ordering procedure in English.

Although there is no picture, the book appears to be the same one from the same publisher.

Its also available from HMV Japan if the delivery is any cheaper for you. I skimmed through it at a book store a couple of weeks ago. Seemed interesting but I dont remember how much of it was in English. Ill try and have another look over the weekend.

I checked out a copy today and it seems like a good book. Certainly alot of players in it I've never heard of. While the blurb on each artist is in Japanese, one or two of their important recordings are listed in English with song titles and personnel. If you like the other titles released by Jazz Critique Books I'm sure you'll like this one.

If the organ jazz in anything like the Tenor Sax book, I'd pass. While the label books are comprehensive, the genre books are more generic and only list two to three titles per artist tops.

If you absolutely have to have it, check out Dusty Groove's selection of Jazz Critique books... usually discounted and w/o the international shipping.
