Teddy Wilson

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to fill the many holes in my probably far too limited Teddy Wilson collection.

To avoid getting too much overlap between the stuff available from I don't know how many labels, both rip-off and not, I need some sort of online discography or the like (I can't afford any of those disk-based discographies). Can anyone point me towards anything on the net that could help me progress? I haven't been successful at all, although usually I'm quite good at unearthing this kind of stuff.

P.S.: I have the Mosaic, all the Hep and all the Storyville CDs.

I haven't found one online, but this book:

called "Teddy Wilson Talks Jazz" has an excellent discography as an appendix.

I'll check it out.

P.S.: There's also a paperback edition from 2001. Does anyone know if the discography has been updated/any changes to the book? Otherwise I would go for the hardcover (1996).

I have the paperback edition, which as you say,is the later version, but I don't know if there are any changes. Looks like some good prices on it in the marketplace section.

Could you check if there is any "revised/updated" whatever notice in the pb? I'm a hardcover guy and I'd rather get that one (also good prices on that one).

It has the same (1996) Publisher's note at the head, and that's the newest date on anything besides the printing date, so I would say yes, it's the same (same # of pages according to Amazon too)
