Over the past 5 years or so, I have bought a LOT of CD's from these guys. Not always the absolute cheapest price, but always pretty close. They've had pretty good selection and fast service (except when you returned a defective disc), plus

they've always been on top of new releases. All this seems to have changed. Their website is still up but there's no new releases listed since around June. Plus an order I placed on Aug 31 has not yet been shipped. They haven't repsonded to my e-mail about it. I tried placing another order but it wouldn't go through.

Is cheap-cds.com gone forever? If so, I'm going to miss them.

Too bad. I'll admit, I haven't ordered from them lately, but had planned to after my upcoming move.

I used cheap-cds for many purchases about two years ago. The business provided a good service. I had no complaints.

Over the last couple of years, however, I've placed all my music purchases through CDUniverse. CDUniverse has a good site, good pricing, good mail tracking options and tends to have most titles in stock at all times.

Lately, the past year or 2, I've only used Cheap-cds for referrence. To check availability of CDs and general prices.

Usually can find CDs cheaper elsewhere. (deepdiscountcd, amazon (used), ebay)

5-6 years back cheap-cds was actually cheap, they had a good selection and stock of jazz titles, good shipping time, and even had some hard to find Blue Note Collectors Choice titles in stock long after they were gone from other stores. Recently their prices went up, and most titles either not listed or out of stock. I haven't used them in at least 2-3 years. Sorry to see them go, but can't say it was unexpected.
