doubleM
tonight is the last night of the free NBA pass am i the only person watching it? ← No, I too have been tuning in. I got to see the Bucks play the other night. Bogut looks to be for real. Redd and Ford, w/ Simmons...Magliore. Wow. I'm playing at the Blazers' VIP bash tonight. Paul Allen's band plays after us. The Jazz look better, too w/Okur stepping up. Now if AK47 can buy a basket
Soulstation1
i'd love having b-ball on until 11 pm almost every night i'd like to get the NBA pass, but it's $170 i need a new tv for my bedroom
md655321
Ive been LOVING having the free pass. Ive been able to catch a couple Pistons games while im stuck in philly. 170 is way too steep, plus there are alot better thing i can do with my time. Guy Berger
The Jazz look better, too w/Okur stepping up. Now if AK47 can buy a basket ← Okur's been phenomenal. And once Carlos Boozer comes back, look out. I've never been a Jazz fan, but I'm psyched for Jerry Sloan. Guy
doubleM
I wonder if Boozer will ever return! I keep hearing rumors that he's holding out for a trade.

Jim R
Just before the season started, I looked up the Warriors' schedule, and almost all their games were listed as being slated for airing on FSN Bay Area (which I get). Well, the last two times I've tuned in to watch, they've been airing Sharks hockey instead. Oh joy. Looks like I won't be following the W's as closely as I'd hoped this year (no, I'm not up for paying for yet another premium sports channel package). Hockey, of all things... why don't they go back on ****ing strike.
Jim Alfredson
I agree with you about hockey, Jim. Pistons put the hurt on the Kings last night. Tayshaun is lighting it up!! I'm glad to hear Okur is doing good with the Jazz. I was bummed when he got traded from Detroit. I always liked what he brought to the game. md655321
He wasnt traded. We just couldnt afford to sign him and Sheed. Nor was he necessary with the Serbian Nightmare waiting in the wings. Edited November 9, 2005 by md655321

I was actually hoping to hear the games on KNBR online but for some reason it blacks out the games. On the plus side I was very psyched to see the W's beat the Bucks last night -- the first decent team we've beaten, and Baron isn't nearly at 100% yet. Hopefully we will do just as well against the Bulls tonight. As far as the Pistons beating the Kings -- impressive. Their first few victories were against mediocrities and while this isn't the mighty Sac of yesteryear, it's still an emphatic road victory over a strong team. Guy ps Flip must be loving his new job! Jim Alfredson
Watching the Rockets vs. the Heat while waiting for the Detroit/Phoenix game to start. I haven't seen the Heat yet this season. These are the guys that are supposed to win the East?!? Ooookkkay.
Noj
The Heat will not be as good as last year, until they start playing Williams and Walker less. Terrible offseason acquisitions for a team with legitimate Finals aspirations.

Noj
Can only hold Rip down for so long. That whole "best-conditioned player" thing is no joke. The Suns defenders hounded him for three quarters and held him to 6 points, then he finally broke loose in the fourth to finish with 18. That's the good news. The bad news is, the W's (after being in control throughout the first half) couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in the 3rd, and didn't shoot much better in the 4th. This Cbarkapa kid is really making the most of his minutes... I can't remember the last time I saw an NBA player put up three air balls in one quarter. Even Manute Bol would hit something when he put up his bizarre 3-pointers. I don't know why Calbert Chaney didn't get more minutes... maybe it was a match-up thing. Anyway, it became a nailbiter thanks in part to some bad officiating, and the fact that the W's could not stop Kirk Heinrich. ... and the fact that they forgot how to shoot. Just to show how desperate the situation was, Fisher banked in a 3 to keep it close in the final minutes, and nobody even cracked a smile. Knicks again tonight... or will it be hockey... Also, when/if Baron actually comes back to full health and Ike comes off the IL, this will be a better team. Guy

But the rest of the guys looked pitiful. Anyone see that hellacious put-back by Big Ben in the 3rd? That was crazy large crazy stupid whack crazy. In that order. Jim Alfredson
Is Bill Walton the absolute worst announcer in the history of the game? Christ, we're not even out of the 1st quarter and he's already said gems like this: "The Blazers have a commanding three point lead!" 3 points is considered commanding!??! "The Blazers are taking it to the Pistons! What is Flip Saunders going to do about this!?" This is when the Pistons were behind by... oh shit... FIVE POINTS!!!! "I'm not ready to give up on the Pistons yet." Said with 5 minutes left in the first quarter and the Pistons down by 2. What a frickin' moron.
