Jim Alfredson
Darko is done. http://proxy.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2332021 I don't really understand trading Arroyo, though. I thought he did a good job as Billup's backup. Lindsey is a good player but he's stale having not played at all this year. After the All-Star break will be interesting. connoisseur series500
Well, this pretty much serves as admission that they fucked up the second pick of the 2003 draft. At the same time, give the saavy Dumars and Piston front staff credit for cutting losses at the cost of losing a little face. Key to this is a first round draft pick. Good move. Jim Alfredson
anyone see #81 say "MF" at the end of the game? I was casually watching as I surfed the net. I say Kobe mouth mf at the end of the game, probably 'cos he lost the ball to 'Sheed trying to be Mr. Fancy Dribble.
Jim Alfredson
Oh, and btw ss1, what happened to Michigan's b-ball team on Saturday?
Noj
"Lost the ball to 'Sheed?" That was a broken play, Kobe scrambled to get the loose ball, and got fouled with no whistle. Haters.
BruceW
broken play my ass, call it like it is, Kobe lost the ball! The only "play" was in Kobe's head. No excuses..... it was just an "all star" entertainment game, comon!
Noj
I always call it exactly like it is, unlike the squadron of Kobe haters here. Apparently you missed the fact that the pass was tipped and was essentially a loose ball that Kobe scrambled to retrieve. If anything, getting the ball at all was clutch. md655321
pistons should have played one half with bosh, and one half with wade. just to show the world what could have been if it werent for super tall serbian dudes.
md655321
Darko with NO minutes tonight. I would pull a Sprewell on his coach if i were him. This is outrageous. I want to see this kid play so bad, I will boycott the NBA if he doesnt get 15 mpg for orlando. There is no WAY he isnt better than Pat Garrity. md655321
Darko scores 8 on 3-4 shooting with 5 boards and a couple blocks in 22 min. Pretty nice game, the boy can play. Just you wait.
JSngry
Mavs had no business being 24 down in the 3rd, but as long as they were, they might as well go ahead and win in OT. This coming from behind crap is getting old, though. Avery's gotta put his foot up sombody's ass(es) to stop it. And he no doubt will. BruceW
MY, MY, MYYY Pistons still cruising toward another championship, Eastern Conference Champs for sure. The NBA Finals is another story and another life of its own. Go Pistons BUT I also wonder about dumping Arroyo. Since Lindsay has been back he has been doing some strange things.... trying to be the ultimate playmaker. He should relax and let it flow.... Jim Alfredson
I was concerned about them trading Arroyo as well, with no real backup for Chauncey. I still can't believe they got rid of Mike James. But they picked up Tony Delk today, so that will relieve some of the pressure on Chauncey and Lindsey. Still, they should've kept Mike James two years ago...
BruceW
Yeah, my fear is if Chauncey gets hurt, then they only have Lindsay. Arroyo was a true point guard, albiet not quite as great but, a true point guard. This may come to haunt the Pistons. Then again, Chauncey is soo strong, it would take an awful lot to put him out for an extended period of time.
