Power to Wayne! May he continue his astonishing run! Ever since he started his quartet I have again and again been fascinated and astonished and well, overjoyed, by the incredible music he produces! Not to mention all his achievements in the past...

Seen him last year with his quartet (at the MIDDLEHEIM). Amazing.

Seen him this year with the same quartet, again (at THE BLUE NOTE FESTIVAL). Music was slightly different and yet more amazing, for this reason.

Indeed a very Happy Birthday to Mr Shorter, still one of the most unpredictable tenor/soprano players around and one of the greatest composers in this music.:party:

His recent appearance at Northsea Rotterdam was an inspiration. Glad I was there !

Few days ago I listened to one of his recent live recordings with Danilo Perez and John Patitucci and he sounds great. More experienced than ever, impecable diversity in his phrasing and maybe the best soprano alive. I think he just became better with the years.

Adding my birthday wishes to one of the greatest musicians this world has ever produced. It's been about 25 years since I first discovered his music, and I can't describe how my life has been enriched by it.

Bertrand.
