brownie Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 Another recommendation for the Getz/Dailey 'Poetry' session. Dailey is an underrated pianist. Getz was very particular about his pianists. He and Dailey inspired each other. This was one of the best albums from the Elektra catalogue. Quote
Alexander Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 I bought this one "sight unseen" so to speak, having read or heard nothing whatever about it. I was delighted. It is a wonderful session. I'd never heard Dailey before, and he was wonderful. Highly recommended. Quote

mgraham333 Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 I heard a track from this disc on the OLD Blue Note radio and bought the CD the next day. The music is great. Seems like the only complaint I had was the low recording level. I haven't played this one in a while. Gonna have to dust it off when I get home. Quote
