For what it's worth, I love Fantasy, plain and simple. I join those in hoping the catalog stays around.

jup, but if you ask the guys, they will sell you the original US masters for the same price when printed in germany.... Only issue: they do not have all available so you have to wait for US delivery and pay roughly 1€ more....

I would be very disappointed if Concord deleted titlles from the prestige, riverside, contemporary etc catalog. I have bought enough CDs from Fantacy, Verve and Blue Note etc to literally fill a room. I think you have less illegal downloading from jazz buyers and more volume jazz buying. Please keep the catalog and add a few titles a couple of times per year.

Fantasy releases are a staple in my jazz-listening diet. There's such a wide variety of styles available under the various labels and, of about 500+ discs I've heard, only 2 have been disappointments. It's been 8 years of accumulating Fantasy titles and I'm still buying like crazy today. Like the others have said, please please keep the entire catalogue, or at least a large chunk of it, in print. And do keep the new reissues coming.

btw - I'm from the other side of the pond (Asia) and know half a dozen jazz fans who have the same positive sentiments on Fantasy releases.

I hope that the posts on this thread will do something to help keep the Fantasy catalog in print. I'm sure that Bertrand will let us know if there's any response.
