J.A.W.
Yep, the goal for France was well-deserved, they're the better side. Brazil seem to have woken up a bit now, though - about time!
J.A.W.
Did you see the HUGE hole Brazil had between their forwards and the midfield? Pretty shameful if you are not able to turn that midfield around real fast and mount an attack. Ronaldinho actually had to wait pretty long before he could kick his corner as there was simply nobody there up front with him (48th minute or so). Yes, that's one of Brazil's problems, their lines are not as fluent as they can and should be, they're static, leaving holes both up front and at the back. Edited July 1, 2006 by J.A.W. couw
just watched that one goal from another perspective and there are FOUR Brazilians simply NOT moving when everyone else runs ahead towards the goal. So we get FIVE French against THREE Brazilians when the ball drops. Amazing.

Jason Drake
cheerio Brazil. thanks for your interest but I think on this occasion I think that we'll stick with a European Final. Ha bloody Ha ! Football is coming home after all. I'm so pleased to see the smug, arrogant, bloated Brazilians on the way home. Its about time someone realised they were there for the taking. well done les bleues.. It's 30C and baking sun over here and I missed 2+ hours of quality sunbathing time thanks to Beckham & co. Should have stayed on the sunlounger. Brad
They did not play up to expectations. I think the Australia match was an eye opener. It showed how they could be contained. I think the sentimental choice, unless you're German, Italian or Portuguese, is France and that's because of Zidane. Ribery! He's come on in the last couple of games. I will be in Southern France next Sunday. I sure hope that France is in the final. That would be something to experience.
