Back at last

Man it's nice to be back at this site. a few months ago I upgraded my Macintosh Operating System and since then, whenever i tried to log in here, my computer locked up.

It turns out that I had been using Internet Explorer, which Apple no longer supports, nor would their technical people give me any help. They now use a system called Safari which I am told is superior.

Anyway, I'll resume my seat in the corner and be quiet, happy to read the comments of all the interesting people here. By the way, your new format takes some getting used to. Cheers.

Thank you folks and particular thanks to you guys who attempted to help me with Jazz Corner. I thought i had explained my situation well enough to the powers that be over there but they, or rather SHE only sent me a letter describing how it wasn't their business to carry a message to another jazz site. Too bad about the JC thread and I direct you all to a JC thread by dizmonk about the backorders on the Gillespie/Parker cd. An edit (mentioned) has taken place.

Can't be too harsh on Lois (an old friend) but this is kinda sad.

Glad you found that thread, Chuck. I'd been meaning to direct you it's way, and to thank you for the great shipment of CDs I received a couple weeks back. Seeing as how you have under 100 posts over there and over 5,000 here, I thought it'd be a good idea to send the guy over here - figured he'd get a much quicker response.

Was kind of surprised when I saw the edit. I understand not promoting commercial sites, but I think not allowing people to link to another BBS is kind of strange. It's not like it's a competition - I come to both JC and the O, because they play a different role for me... different subjects, different characters, etc.
