i've got a $2 bet with this guy at work on who finishes higher phil or tiger

i am in trouble

perhaps so ... too bad, Phil is such a weiner

Tiger used to piss me off because I know he is going to break all Jack's records, but I have warmed to the guy. You gotta respect the greats ... plus I love his intensity, which is exactly why I loved Jack.

Sorry to thread crap, but what is a "weiner"?

oops, it is a typo :P

wiener

the guy just creeps me out ... he is part of the "Jim Nance" wing of the overly-dramatized golfing elite

Err... Sorry, I still don't understand. According to Merriam-Webster it's a wienerwurst:

Main Entry: wie·ner

Pronunciation: 'wE-n&r, 'wE-nE also 'wi-nE

Function: noun

Etymology: short for wienerwurst

It just occurred to me, do you mean "whiner"?

sorry for the confusion - I do mean wiener

in this case, slang for something that is bland, dull or flavorless

I am refering to the Oscar Meyer variety of course

A wiener is a dork, which is what both Mickelson and Love are -- although I was happy to see Mickelson basically tell his caddie to 'stuff it' on 18. He knew that he wanted to use the 4-wood from the get-go, and then the caddie starts in with the sand wedge nonsense and Mickelson says "Did you not listen to anything I just said?" Speaking of sand wedges....what's with Daly using the wedge to putt with? ...and what's with Singh's new golf shoes? They look like some sort of experimental Dr. Scholls Orthopedic Delights.
