Problem with some board images links

Just a minor problem with the board.

Since today, my Opera browser displays "Looking up hostname www.organissimo.net" in the status bar when loading every page of the board.

I checked the source of the pages, and indeed some picture links use organissimo.net (a domain which does not exist) instead of organissimo.org. For example http://www.organissimo.net/forum/style_images/1/atb_help.gif

That's very strange. organissimo.net does exist. I'm waiting for it to get transfered to me. It's still on the old servers. Once the name is transfered to me, I can set it up to be a mirror of organissimo.org and such problems will be solved.

same here, also on Opera. This slows things down quite a bit here.

Using MSIE things are equally slow, also due to pics being downloaded from the .net domain.

Same here, both on Opera and MSIE6.

Me three--keep getting hung up trying to load little sidebar images, etc. I can still read, but the browser has to be stopped with each page load.

Not a browser based problem btw.

Thanks Jim. So organissimo.net doesn't work for now. I thought somebody made an error whith the image URLs.

Is there a technical advantage in having board and images on different domains?

No, it's a mistake! I don't know why the images were set to organissimo.net (but I did it, so I must've had a reason!) The frustrating thing is... I've gone in a changed the code but it doesn't seem to make a difference!! I'm pretty confused right now.

Strange thing is, everything is OK on my computer at work (MSIE), while at home it isn't (Opera and MSIE).

A geek trick to fixing the "Looking for organissimo.net" hanger YOURSELF and see all the board pics again is to redirect the browser to the organissimo.org address, where the images are located.

This can be done be adding a line to the hosts file on your computer (under Windows, Mac or Linux).

On Windows XP, the file is located in the folder C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\

Open the file with Notepad (the user must have administrator rights to edit the file) and add the following line

64.182.46.28 www.organissimo.net

Save the file and you are set.

And yet the images are still trying to be accessed via the organissimo.net domain. What the hell?!
