Jazz Kat
hey Jim, didnt buy the new cd yet, but I'm wondering which song it was that the ladies from the beauty parlor came into the studio and told you guys to keep it down. Wasn't it a 3/4 tune, that your wife hates, and your dad loves? ← Can anyone answer this?

GregN
The new CD will be restocked at CDBaby at any moment! We sold out!! But you can get on an email notification list there, I see. Anyhow, with 22 stations across the country reporting organissimo's This Is The Place, on the top ten for album spins (up from nine stations last week) we are looking for bigger avenues of distribution. Very exciting stuff. I hope you guys get airplay on major markets like WBGO and other major cities. Press in Downbeat, JazzIz and major city news papers wouldn't hurt. I don't know how to do it, but hey... ← Man, I just checked out their site! Very cool site and station indeed. Well, things are in place, so time will tell. That is, we've got someone working on it. This Is The Place is in the top ten on Chicago Public Radio (second largest such market), so... Also, in case you missed it, The Detroit Free Press gave organissimo a big send up last week. Best part of all, Number 15 on the CMJ Jazz Charts and climbing!!!

Jim Alfredson
The old CD is supposed to be on e-music and so is this new one. According to CDBaby, e-music is dropping the ball on this stuff.

randissimo
I went to Schuler's Bookstore on Alpine, in Grand Rapids, Mi today to set up our new CDs there. While I was filling out the consignment form for the manager in the music dept, there was a couple standing near us, patiently waiting to buy "This Is The Place" .. The guy told me they had heard us on Lazaro's show this morning and figured this Schuler's outlet would have a copy. So the manager slapped a price tag on a Cd and handed it to them with a smile and they left us to pay for their CD.. I smiled at the manager and said, "I hope you don't think I staged that?" GregN
Getting back on track (if you'll pardon the very weak pun), I can't decide which tune is my favorite. But Pumpkin Pie is right up there. Tenderly is sweet. Wealthy Street is neat. Heck, I don't know yet... a few more listens ought to do it, or not. A Lark Ascending
'This is the Place' has reached Sherwood Forest and is going down a treat. We tend to expect mandolins and crumhorns with everything here but, hey, I expect you're saving that for disc 3. I love 'Tenderly'...and that's a song I usually have no time for. Gorgeous. Well done, y'all (as Maid Marian often says).
Jim Alfredson
Thanks, Bev! Glad you like it! I finally have posters and the boyz and I need to have another signing party so I can send those out. We'll be doing that soon.
