Claude Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 I still have not been able to listen to the CD because my CD Baby order (shipped 8/15) still has not arrived yet. None of my 50+ US orders in the past 5 years has been lost in the mail, I hope it isn't the case with this very special CD. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 Claude, have you emailed CDBaby about this yet? I will gladly refund your money if they won't. Quote
Claude Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 (edited) Hi Jim, I will send an email to CD Baby tonight. Thanks for the generous offer, but I will not ask you to refund when the shop or the postal service is responsible for the problem. Edited September 13, 2005 by Claude Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Great news! I hope you receive it soon! And please let me know when you do. Quote
Soul Stream Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Turned on the radio in my car today mid-song. Good organ groove...my friend asked "Who's this?" I listened for a few seconds, puttin' the pieces together..."Oh yeah, that's Organissimo!" Playin' it mid-day on KUT Radio here in Austin, Texas.... Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 They've been good to us! They're playing the disc A LOT, weeks after its release. Its been falling off of other stations, but that's ok. The radio play has done some great things for us. Quote

Theo Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 (edited) All I know is Organissimo is keeping good company. And I absolutely love the new CD. I had several copies which I have given away so now I have to come up with more moolah to buy extras. Damn! Check my new email address: I am getting to be big time! randissimo Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 I got this from Rosco, an outstanding harmonica player from Bay City. Rosco is a member of an interesting band called " "may.be au.gust" .. I have been hearing about Rosco for years and stumbled upon him performing with his band at Union Street Station in Traverse City last Thursday night. I heard this outrageous harmonica on the street outside of the bar and had to go in and find out who this dude was! He posted this on his website: A guy sat in with the trio on harp last Thursday at USS. His name is Randy Marsh. I'd heard of him & that he is also a great drummer. He gave me a CD of his band, organissimo. They are a band out of GR. The CD is fantastic!! Randy is a great harp player, but he is also a world class jazz drummer. Some of you who make it to the GR, AA, & Lansing areas may have heard this band. They are getting national airplay & some very good gigs. They deserve it. Check them out if you can. Rosco Quote
Theo Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 How many of you listen to Live365? They have also been very good to Organissimo. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 We had a blast! Good crowd, sold a bunch of CDs. It was a lot of fun and we played very well, I think. Good times! Quote
tonym Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 Just got around to listening intently this week (had a lot on; starting own business etc., son starting school). This is a great album (nothing new to add to discussion really), and went down very well at an American car show last week, from iPod thro'iTrip and into everyone else's cars didn't realise they could do that Quote

Theo Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 You all know that I am Jim's dad, but I gotta tell ya - having spent sixty years listening to great music -and playing, although kind of so-so, tonight I had the time to put on the earphones and, even though I have heard 'This Is The Place' several times on speakers, I was completely knocked out! There isn't a single line by any of the guys that fails: I am overwhelmed. If you haven't just sat back with the phones on and let Organissimo take you away, you have missed a lot. I expect great things for this band in the future: if you all don't have an unopened copy of Boogaloo and Place, I suggest you buy one of each to keep: one of these days they will be worth a fortune. Jim - you are amazing. Joe - what can I say? Being a guitar player myself, after hearing you I might take up the kazoo. Randy - Damn! And, don't forget Johnny - very nice horn work. Greg - keep booking our boys: we need you. This is the place? Definately Quote

And once they come in, I am backin' off the bookin' ends of things (for the most part). Two of them book internationally. I am setting stuff up nicely for the fellas, eventually, I need to get back to my first priority of playing guitar, pushin the label artists, writing songs, and performing with Root Doctor. Remember the Root Doctor CD is going to need some serious support as well. Quote
