romualdo Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 Monoceros has just been reissued on CD by Psi. link The Snake Decides will become available again in 2015 or 2016. Six of One also to be made available again in 2015 or 2016. That's interesting - Martin told me last year that Evan was winding up his psi venture This will probably be a copy of the Chronoscope CD or has it been remastered? I've got both Chronoscope CDs & am happy with them - regret not getting SME's Karyobin at the time (this was also on Chronoscope) - this definitely needs reisseuing Quote
clifford_thornton Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 I thought Karyobin was getting reissued in the next year or two as well. Quote

As we know very few of any of the concerts at The Stone come out as official releases. Quote

clifford_thornton Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Really one of the best Incus covers, not to mention some of the most extraordinary EP solo on record. Quote
Clunky Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Really one of the best Incus covers, not to mention some of the most extraordinary EP solo on record. I received my copy the other day and it really is an extraordinary performance and recording. Quote
colinmce Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 I've said it before, but with the exception of Horowich's projects, Davidson has the best packaging in the business. Quote

clifford_thornton Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 They look nice but get worn pretty easily - my copy of the SME Oliv already has ring wear! Quote
mjazzg Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 Look great but too tall for my standard CD shelves. They have to live elsewhere with Matchless, Ogun, Not Two, Okka.......maybe I should've had the shelves designed differently Quote
colinmce Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 I keep all my cardboard CDs on a separate self. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 lucky you guys to have "shelves." In Brooklyn I have nooks and stacks. Quote
mjazzg Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Just happened upon this interview. I don't remember it posted before (apologies if so). Disarmingly modest as usual Quote
colinmce Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Also news of an upcoming Otoroku release with Corsano & Edwards. Quote
mjazzg Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) Also news of an upcoming Otoroku release with Corsano & Edwards. It's out and very good. I picked it up from Oto yesterday and played it twice straight off. Parker's tenor is magisterial throughout, unhurried and vital. It's a very immediate live recording which puts you right there with all three trio members. Recommended Edited October 11, 2015 by mjazzg Quote

mjazzg Posted May 24, 2018 Report Posted May 24, 2018 Anyone interested in EP's work will enjoy listening to this discussion with Dave Douglas, I think As always, he's an entertaining, informative and modest conversationalist https://greenleafmusic.com/anftd-49-evan-parker/ Quote

mjazzg Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 Of interest to chose of us interested in Evan Parker. I've not watched it yet but Trance Map at the Vortex is one of the most outstanding of Evan's concerts I've attended over the years. Mind you that was set up with surround speakers around the venue which may not be easy for all of us to replicate. Anyway, here it is  Quote

Jason Bivins Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 Jesus, that's disappointing. Quote
