Hot Ptah Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 I have just discovered this thread. I suggest that you may want to get the Murray Perahia Complete Mozart Piano Concertos at some point. I find that set to offer many rewards. It is incredibly beautiful music. I find a certain "soul" in Perahia's Mozart playing that other well known pianists just don't offer. To me, it is one of the most special sets in my collection. Needless to say, it's just one person's opinion, and others may feel quite differently. Quote
michel devos Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 "MOZART'S FORTEPIANO This instrument was built in the early 1780s by the Viennese keyboard-instrument maker Anton Walter and purchased by Mozart in 1784. Malcolm Bilson plays on a copy of the instrument for most of the concertos on the present series of recordings." Quote
Guy Berger Posted October 31, 2006 Author Report Posted October 31, 2006 I'm listening to piano concerto #25. I haven't really connected with all of the concertos yet but damn, this is superb music. I still like the last few symphonies better, but perhaps I will change my mind in time. Guy Quote
