Roni Ben-Hur, a wonderful guitarist deserving wider recognition, has just released a new record entitled "Signature", featuring Rufus Reid - bass, Steve Kroon - percussion, Leroy Williams - drums and John Hicks - piano. The record is readily available and should be picked up. The tracks are comprised of originals, standards and a few classical pieces by Villa Lobos. The music is beautiful, elegant, soulful and imaginative. Check it out.

I'll second your recommendation on Roni. Wonderful guitar stylist. Saw him recently as part of a fine group led by Bertha Hope (along with Walter Booker and Leroy Williams) who interpret mainly Elmo Hope material. I'll be looking out for this new CD.
