lgoler Posted July 14, 2005 Report Share Posted July 14, 2005 Roni Ben-Hur, a wonderful guitarist deserving wider recognition, has just released a new record entitled "Signature", featuring Rufus Reid - bass, Steve Kroon - percussion, Leroy Williams - drums and John Hicks - piano. The record is readily available and should be picked up. The tracks are comprised of originals, standards and a few classical pieces by Villa Lobos. Saw him recently as part of a fine group led by Bertha Hope (along with Walter Booker and Leroy Williams) who interpret mainly Elmo Hope material. I'll be looking out for this new CD.
