J.A.W. Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 (edited) SOLD I'm selling the Complete Blue Note Horace Parlan Sessions Mosaic 5CD-set from my own collection for €70 or $85 including shipping within the European Union and to Norway and Switzerland; shipping to other destinations is extra. The set is #1436 of a limited edition of 5,000 and is as good as new, and comes complete with box and 16-page booklet. I only recently purchased it and played two CDs once; the other discs are unplayed. Payment, - in the Netherlands: bank transfer in euros; - in the euro zone: electronic BIC/IBAN bank transfer in euros or PayPal in euros or U.S. dollars; - outside the euro zone: PayPal in euros or U.S. dollars. Please PM me if interested. Edited July 14, 2005 by J.A.W. Quote

J.A.W. Posted July 13, 2005 Author Report Posted July 13, 2005 It's still available from Mosaic for $80 new! ← Yes, David, thank you. As you probably know Mosaic's overseas shipping rates are very high; my "all-in European price" is lower, so this might be of interest to European members - that's why I posted it here. Quote

J.A.W. Posted July 15, 2005 Author Report Posted July 15, 2005 The next Mosaic to go is the Lee Morgan 1950s Blue Note set, but that one'll go straight to eBay. Quote

Clunky Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 (edited) I must listen again to the Morgan set tonight. I thought the sound quite acceptable with perhaps the first two sessions sounding a bit harsh and strained but then so many of the 1956/7 BN sessions I have on CD have that feel to them. great music of course, you really can hear Morgan's progression as an artist over what really is a pretty short period of time.
