jazzbo Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 It's still WAY in print from www.mosaicrecords.com Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Kinda harsh Jazzbo. He's looking for a deal from an unhappy customer. Not a bad thing. I would not like to think about one of my customers "stuck" with something they did not like. Quote
JSngry Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Then again, if you don't like the Eldridge Mosaic, you kinda deserve to be stuck with it so you can come to your senses! Quote
Dennis_M Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 (edited) Me too. Just play it again. Sooner or later he will come to his senses. Edited July 5, 2005 by Dennis_M Quote
StormP Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I have searched for this LP for a long time. Has anybody ever heard about it? Argo LP 4006 Morris Grants Presents Junk. Personnel: Miles Morris, Morris Ferguson, Bet Taker, trumpets Mon Cherie, pocket trumpet Can-E-Ball Naturally, Sol Desman, alto saxophones Ornette Morris, plastic alto saxophone Merry Julligan, baritone Morris Brewbeck, Theloneliest Monk, Morris Garner alternating pianos Gene Blooper, drums It was recorded at Boston's Grove Hall Philharmonic early 1961. Some of the tunes: Le Tup, Jumping with Symphony Sid, Making Whoopee, Creative Love, 'Round Lunchtime. According to Morris Grant, at the time, the idea was to create CHAOS. The musicians were told to like, just blow. Then, when all the engrems had ben expelled from the cortex of the horns, the CHAOTIC principle had been achieved. Quote

jazzbo Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I wasn't trying to be harsh. I just wasn't clear whether he realized it was in print. I could see that if one didn't frequent the webpages one might wonder about sets. Quote
AllenLowe Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I think that Junk presentation refers to a Chinese jazz cruise - but back to the subject - what Eldridge does the Mosaic cover? Quote

Jazztropic Posted July 5, 2005 Author Report Posted July 5, 2005 Like I said a long shot.TI do know it is in print but there is a chance some one may have decided it was not for them.I want it but funds are low and thought I may get it sooner this way.I really don't think it will happen though.
